Conversations with Kristel Robinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristel Robinson. 

Kristel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For me, it started with an uneasy feeling of a greater purpose attached to my name.  I felt like God was calling me to a different path and to live a life of purpose and empowerment. To be light in the middle of so much darkness.  To make a statement for other women to not settle in life and to believe that we have the power to overcome challenges in life and turn our pain into wisdom. 

It was a calling from God, and the vision He put in my heart was to create a sacred space for women to disconnect from the world to find peace and restoration of our spirit, to pour back into ourselves because we cannot serve from an empty vessel and sometimes, we are just filling ourselves with superficial comfort which can blindside us to our reality and block us from making wiser and better decisions. 

And that is how Can’t Break Me Retreats was started. With Faith, with courage but most importantly with the conviction of an assignment. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not a smooth road. Nothing worth having comes easy. I started this journey with so many insecurities and no direction. I had to figure out from scratch how to put everything together. 

For me, it was mission impossible. How I was going to make women from a foreign country fly out to an unknown country to attend a retreat with a host that they knew nothing about. 

It was like jumping without a parachute and hoping to land safely. But with a calling comes faith. What God puts in your heart to do is just confirmation that he will also equip you and open doors to do it. 

So, I started with a website, a Facebook page, and a Facebook group with 0 followers. I allowed God to guide me and show me the way. 

Then Covid was a big challenge because how you start a traveling healing business when no one in the world is traveling. But my faith was bigger than what my eyes were seeing. I keep posting, advertising and knocking doors. Because I knew that God was in charge and that eventually, it would happen. 

On August 24, 2021, still in the pandemic I had my first retreat. I hosted 8 beautiful ladies, all strangers to me, from the USA who came to Costa Rica to attend my first retreat. 

In 2022 I hosted 2 more and planned my upcoming retreats for 2023 in Costa Rica and in Bali. 

Challenges will always be a part of a successful journey, especially when faith is involved. I have dealt with haters and doubters in what I stand for and what I do. Even making fun of my mission and mocking me for the “God” I serve, but my answer is simple: Faith is Optional! 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a leader and woman on a mission, and that mission is to empower women worldwide to recognize their worth by acknowledging who they are through God’s eyes. 

I am also a Spiritual Teacher, Certified Life coach, and Motivational Speaker. Kristel is also the Founder of the “Can’t Break Me Retreat” experience for women. 

As an advocate of purpose, resilience, self-love, and empowerment but most importantly of God’s unconditional love. 

My saying is: “We can never claim our blessings until we let go of our burdens” and Can’t Break Me Retreat is the place where this journey of acknowledgment begins. It’s a sacred place to disconnect from the world to completely reset, restore and operate from a place of fulfillment. 

I don’t think in feeling proud, for me is more about a fulfilment sense 

Waking up knowing that I am doing something important with my life to make a difference. Serving others and walking into my purpose. 

There is no other retreat out there where women travel, immerse in cultural experiences while going through a spiritual awakening in a space that was intentional by God to be created. 

Can’t Break Me is a direct effect of a woman who believed in God’s calling and vision for her life, stepped out of faith, and believed in the impossible. 

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Wisdom and discernment that comes from a spiritual awakening. 

Trusting the journey. 

Been strong and courageous. 

Humility to remain grounded that without God, I would be where I am. 

Acknowledgment that there is always more to learn and from others to learn. 

Determination to keep going when the path is not as easy as expected.
