Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasan Radford.
Hi Jasan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My start or passion in Music was at ages 13, and 14. Being a Kid in the late 70′ & 80’s, and coming from a Musical / Artistic Family, I, of course fell in love with Punk Rock and had to play Drums!!!
My passion grew, and I began Writing Songs, and starting Bands, which eventually became ONESIDEZERO. ONESIDEZERO signed to Maverick/Warner Bros in 2000, and off we went!! Through the years of Touring, we were always handed CDs or Demos from Bands in the Cities we were in, and it sparked my desire to “give back”, there are so many amazing Bands and Artists out there that, at this time, would maybe never be heard.
Fast forward to the Industry today, completely the opposite!
My Partner Brian Lacy and I started The Radford Media Group just before Covid took over, with the Same Principals of doing what we can to help the Artist Develop, Grow their Careers.
In 2021, and with the addition of Partner Dion Kemp, we started Auspicious Recordings, an Imprint through Tragic Hero / Warner / ADA, with a few Releases under our Belts, and a couple of new and amazing Artist’s, Auspicious partnered with Wolf Ent. / Danmark, and Has Since released, CENTERSHIFT’s EP “OF” and the Full-Length LP, ” A Different Shade Of Color”.
As our Artists get set for a heavy 2023, RMG and Auspicious / Wolf Ent. are actively signing new acts, putting on Local Shows with, The Cobalt Presents, that’s focus is on showcasing the Next Gen, and will continue to push that Envelope!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has never been smooth, hahaha, I don’t think I would appreciate it if it were. I mean, where to begin… Has the Gas Money been deposited from the Label, has P.O.P. arrived at the Venue for Promo, the list goes on and on for Touring Bands.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Lead Singer and Rhythm Guitar Player for The Band CENTERSHIFT, as well as the Co-Owner President of The Radford Media Group and Auspicious Recordings. I’d say I am known for my Career with ONESIDEZERO and my passion to work with amazing Artists and Creatives.
I am most proud of our Growth through the Pandemic, taking a thought and passion and turning it into a Family! What sets RMG / Auspicious apart from others, I cannot say it’s not this way for others, but our outlook is, “we’re all in this together”.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson for me was to stay true and stay real…
