Casey lives outside of Los Angeles with her husband and three girls. Her wellness philosophy is inspired by her wine and beauty heritage, with a dose of California calm.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road but an interesting one. When I first launched the brand in 2019, our first product Luxury Beauty Serum includes CBD as one of its ingredients. It was a challenging start for a new business, but I am grateful that we had amazing support from retailers like Sephora and Credo. Having SAINT JANE available at those stores was a huge opportunity for the brand and helped to build the foundation.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have been creating brands for over 20 years in the wine and beauty space and I am so proud of those that have gone to resonate with consumers. Brands like Cupcake Vineyards, Ava Grace, and Chloe. Those brands speak to the female wine consumer – and it was the first-time brands took that course. In Beauty, brands like Marc Jacobs Beauty, Elizabeth, and James and Kat von D – are standouts in my career. Lastly, SAINT JANE has been a huge high point as it ‘s deeply personal, and represents what matters to me with products I stand behind – performance-driven and meticulously clean formulas paired with luxury, iconic packaging.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family – my 3 girls and my husband Zack have been with me every step of the way of this journey. This is my first foray into entrepreneurship, and no one can prepare you for what it is like to launch a business. My girls have helped me name products and Zack has helped me tremendously as I navigate being a first-time founder and CEO. Having an incredibly supportive family has been essential and I am so grateful.
