Meet Dr. Tammy Hunter of Connection Hypnotherapy in Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Tammy Hunter.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dr. Hunter. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I sought help in traditional therapy for many years, with different practitioners. I was very motivated and worked hard, but was left without answers regarding my emotions. I eventually met a therapist who introduced me to metaphysical concepts, which helped me to better understand myself. I then tried hypnosis in therapy. This modality changed my life so much that I went back to school and sought a degree in clinical hypnosis and opened my practice in Los Angeles.

I love being a hypnotherapist, helping people make changes in the unconscious mind, but after a while I felt something was missing. I went back to school for a PhD in Metaphysical Science, specializing in counseling. Now I am able to help my clients make changes using both the conscious and unconscious mind. I teach them empowerment utilizing metaphysical energy and the power of the “Self.”

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have applied metaphysical concepts which helped to create a successful practice. My practice grows stronger each and every day!

Please tell us about Connection Hypnotherapy.
I am a Los Angeles-based Metaphysician. I hold a degree in Clinical Hypnosis, a Doctorate in Philosophy with a PhD in Metaphysical Science, specializing in Counseling. I also hold a degree as a Certified Hypnotherapist.

Guest lecturer: Harvard Faculty Club, Harvard University, March 2017 regarding my counsel of practice.

I was Awarded BEST Counselor in Los Angeles 2015 and 2016.

I am featured as Trina Braxton’s hypnotherapist on the hit reality television show “Braxton Family Values.”

I am a featured, published, contributing writer for Psychology Tomorrow Magazine and Eligible Magazine. My articles are based on my counsel of practice.

My specializations include: Emotional Trauma, Anxiety & Stress, Relationship Termination, Jealousy, Rejection & Abandonment, Traumatic Stress, Sexual Trauma (Male & Female), Erectile Dysfunction, Fears & Phobias, Personal Growth & Motivation, Pain Management, Infertility, Weight Loss.

I am known for helping people change their life by changing their beliefs. I teach people that sometimes change lies outside of their belief system. Change your belief, change your life!

The fact that I get to participate in helping people transform their life and achieve their goals is what I am most proud of.

What sets me apart is both my unique training and the special gift I possess. I am extremely intuitive and am able to feel another’s emotions within myself. This is something we all do to some extent—picking up on “vibes”—but being able to both feel another’s emotions strongly and separate them from my own allows me to assess my clients with compassion and clarity. Using this ability, I am able to steer my clients towards the underlying issue, which they are often unaware of.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Christmas was always a magical time, full of love and mystery. The year I received my favorite baby doll on Christmas morning is a memory I will always cherish. Her name was Baby-That-Away, and I loved her so.
