Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonina Fedorova.
Hi Antonina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have an enemy—one limited life. In my early twenties, I came to the clear understanding that a “one course life” concept was not for me. I don’t want to live just one life. Even if it is considered to be good: a university degree, a stable career path in a certain professional area, one visual image for all life stages, the same geographical base, the same people around me, the same personality throughout life…
I couldn’t stand it, so I’ve developed the concept of multiple lives for myself. So I started changing professional roles and my lifestyle. I was an astute businesswoman on a Red Jaguar, an ambitious banker, a glamorous event producer, a feminine shanti girl, and many other things.
One of those roles was the founder of a boutique agency that provided high-end customized experiences in any profession for rich people, such as being an undertaker, porn casting director, or restorer of vintage planes in France. In 2019, I understood that what I wanted next was to make testing professional roles and lifestyles available to everybody.
That is how I ended up as a startup founder in Los Angeles! Anybe is a platform that provides in-person experiences of trying any profession for a day. Our goal is to show people that life is a multiverse, and you can be anything – at least for a few hours.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had little idea of what a bumpy road this journey would be! Technically, it has been quite easy. I have great people in my team who have made the website run smoothly, and together we have successfully hunted awesome people to become our guides, putting up quite a big roster of professions you can try.
Other than that, there have been lots of challenges! The idea of trying another role turned out to be extremely innovative for people to grasp and believe in its possibility, at least if we are talking about the nationwide market. We have to pave the psychological path in people’s minds so that they fully understand that we offer fulfilling their childhood profession dream, or trying dozens of career paths in one place, and so on.
Anyway, there is no way that we give up on the concept of organizing experiences for people that help them get out of the rut, reset and get new perspectives on life.

Anybe is the first platform that makes it possible to walk in a stranger’s shoes. We are the place that connects guides from all walks of life and curious guests who want to spend a few hours immersed in a new professional or social role and get out of their daily bubble.
It is a great way to discover hidden sides and talents in yourself, to test a career if you have ever considered switching to it, an opportunity to make a childhood dream come true, to see the backstage of any job, to hear life stories from guides and ask them questions, and so many more.
Our concept is a very multifunctional experience at the interface of fun, self-education, psychology, and tourism, and everyone discovers their own meanings and objectives of becoming an Anybe guest or an Anybe guide. We share cars, we share houses, we share things, so why not share our passions too? I believe, and real-life proves it, that almost everyone wants to have at least a short experience outside of their day-to-day network and live something else.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Always seeking for new experiences. Curiosity. I have never settled on one thing for too long. Boredom is like a poison to me, and so my natural state is to seek adventures and challenges. They don’t always have to be extreme, but I need to try new things, meet new people, change environments, and evolve my mindset.
Without curiosity, I would have never experienced amazing adventures in my life, I would have never discovered all those opportunities that my life has for me. I would have been trapped in a golden cage, blind. Anybe is all about the freedom that I celebrate and praise above all. It is a reflection of my philosophy – don’t limit yourself, you can be anything.
