Check Out Britt Hart’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britt Hart.

Hi Britt, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As a Watts native, I’ve always felt different and I’ve held dear to my perspective. Being artistic came natural to me as a child, but by the time I got to high school and MySpace was all the rage, I was editing photos, experimenting with HTML, and designing unique still and animated graphics.

I didn’t imagine it carrying over into a professional career and I originally wanted to be a teacher or a fashion designer, but here I am. A content creator and curator doing all of the things I did as a hobbyist in my teens.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road for me. I’ve second-guessed myself for most of my life. As bold as I am in my perspective, I also wanted to be well-received. This ultimately kept me from beginning or completing projects for fear of not being able to execute them at the level I was able to materialize in my mind.

Apart from my struggles creatively, I was also faced with a lot of physical ailments which strongly affected my mental health. This trickled down to my performance in school and my overall quality of life and desire to create art also suffered.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Because I like to try my hand at any medium I can get my hands on, I refer to myself as a Creative Content Producer. I specialize in Graphic Design and Portraiture, but I also excel in Web Design and Brand/Marketing Design.

I’m mostly known for my photography and logo design and I’m proud of always being able to come up with fresh and eye-catching content. I’m also really good at retouching portraits in a way that looks very natural.

What sets me apart from others would probably be my attention to detail. I think I care about the things that many people wouldn’t and it makes a difference in my art in a way that most people don’t realize that they appreciate because they see the finished product and not what it took for me to get it there. I do intend to share my process eventually.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I can see my industry moving heavily into motion graphics and immersive digital experiences. Video is becoming a more efficient way of spreading information and marketing and I believe more designers will start to learn animations to keep up with these trends.
