Meet Paks G.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paks G..

Hi Paks, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been into fashion since I can remember. Growing up I listened to hiphop a lot so I was always into what my favorite rappers wore along with the streetwear fashion in LA. In school, I always dressed differently whether I wore Jordans, Timbs, or Nike Janoski’s my style was always diverse I always believed the way you dress is a form of expressing yourself. At one point after high school when I was working at my old job shoutout to Shoe Palace, I always told my coworkers and manager how I wanted to start a clothing brand so people can wear it with the latest kicks we released at our store and this is when they told me to just go for it and I finally convinced myself to start my own brand.

The brand name “The Chemist Supply” or “The Chemist” means; creating something out of nothing. The brand is about giving you the inspiration to chase and follow your dreams so when you wear the brand you’re automatically a part of The Chemist movement.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over the years of running a clothing business, it hasn’t always been a smooth journey, I never had a mentor or someone with experience that can guide me to take the right steps to avoid any mistakes, so really I had to go through the ups and downs since the beginning and lost a lot of my money trying to figure it all out. Even till this day, some things don’t go as planned but I still believe there’s always new things to learn from if you’re in this industry, you have to learn to adapt since trends are always changing so you always have to keep an open mind to grow. Nonetheless, I’m definitely grateful for those moments that taught me how to run a clothing business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My designs can vary some of them are for fun, some are inspired by current events in my community, and some resemble how I feel. Recently I designed a collection called “Laugh Now Cry Later” and added my own style using skeleton drama masks. Besides this design going back to my roots as a Latino, I made this collection to remind people to live in the moment because life is full of problems that don’t always leave so therefore laugh and carry on and deal with it later before our time comes. Another design I made is called “Money is the Remedy” this design was created as a motivational saying to go out there and hustle. Ever since I was in middle school, I always sold chips and candy because my parents couldn’t afford to buy me everything I wanted so I’ve always been a hustler and this saying inspires me till this day to work hard and I also, understand money isn’t everything, but we need it to pay our bills and put food on the table so it is essential. This design has been the most iconic for the brand over the last year being able to give it to celebrities like Quavo, Tory Lanez, Ohgeesy and more. These are some achievements I’m proud of doing that I never imagined doing that push me to keep going.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always a chill person. I played sports for fun, would skate, or go on bike rides with my friends around the city I always liked to keep myself active. In school, I was always that popular kid as well everyone was cool with me and showed love.
