Meet Carl Marin of Fine Car Exteriors in Lawndale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carl Marin.

Please share your story with us.
I started with a paint gun, garage stall, and a dream. It all started in the Heart of the South bay in the summer ’76.  The dedication, hard work and passion throughout the decades has grown into a Family Owned Business. We have been Proudly Serving the South Bay for over Forty years now. We specialize in Auto Collision Repair (i-car certified), Paint, Restorations and Customization.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were tons of challenges along the way. Fine Car Exteriors definitely had times when starting out that thought “this was the last month.” But with the right mindset we persevered.

Please tell us about Fine Car Exteriors.
In Los Angeles County there are wide variety of cars from luxury BMW’s to your standard Toyota’s but the fact still stands that “In L.A. you need a car to survive.” That is why we are a “Customer Based” Auto Body Shop. We focus on understanding and meeting our customer’s needs. What sets us apart is we can do a wide variety of jobs to your vehicle. We specialize in Collision repair, Plastic bumper repair, Restorations and Customs.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Fine Car Exteriors has always been my backyard. My favorite memory from childhood was riding my mini bike up and down the lot at the end of each work day.
