Life & Work with Randy Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Louis.

Randy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out as Division 1 Football player at Youngstown State. After not making it to the NFL, I earned a Master’s Degree in Employment & Labor Relations and then began working in Human Resources. I was honored as 30 under 30 by SHRM for Top Under 30 HR professionals.

I began investing in real estate as well and found that to be my passion. I became a Licensed Real Estate agent and started helping people build generational Wealth Through Real Estate investing. I have been helping people purchase real estate using resources that allow them to sometimes not have to bring any money to closing.

I created a company named Block Shoppers and have focused solely on helping people work towards their goals of achieving homeownership. We have expanded from DC to Atlanta, and now coming to Los Angeles. I was recently listed as a TOP 15% Realtor Nationally by Home Snap.

I was also featured on HGTV’s House Hunters in February of 2022. I am working on building affordable housing here in Los Angeles. My goal is to build up the communities and provide resources for people to grow, develop, and build wealth through real estate.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I have faced many adversities and struggles with the grind. Trying to manage to be a Dual Career was very difficult.

I knew my passion was real estate but I had to work the 9 to 5 grind in order to be able to achieve my real estate goals and be able to focus solely on that. I ended up leaving my full-time employer in 2021 during the pandemic, took the leap of faith, and haven’t looked back since.

Also struggling with no longer being able to play football and trying to find my purpose was very difficult. My whole life I was training as if I would be in the NFL and it was a harsh reality, but I overcame that.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in finding people homes that will help them build generational wealth. I help people purchase homes with this little money down. I serve as people’s Trusted real estate advisor.

I helped 25 families last year and got my clients over $110,000 in closing help. I am most proud of being able to help all my clients find their perfect investment properties. I am also proud to be recognized as a TOP 15% realtor. Also very proud to have been on HGTV and the continued partnership I will have with them.

As my goal is to inspire people and help people reach their real estate goals no matter where they are at in their life, regardless of how much money they have, I’m focused on providing them with solutions and roadmaps to achieve their goals

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice is to be vulnerable, not be worried about sounding dumb or not knowledgeable.

Be all ears, listen, and ask questions. Mentors are needed in order to help you progress as smoothly as you can, as you will learn from their mistakes and find out what to do and not to do.

I would use LinkedIn, and meet-up groups to help find people that are in your interests.
