Check Out Cindy Konjo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Konjo.

Hi Cindy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to LA after living in the DMV, that’s where I grew up so I’ll always be fond of Baltimore/D.C. for sparking my creative journey and really instilling my desire to be in the creative world and learn from others and other cultures. Being an immigrant and coming to this country when I was four from Cameroon, I have always heard and seen the “hustle” mentality so I knew I had to move to a city I felt like I could prosper the most, especially creatively. I originally moved here thinking wanted to do the whole acting thing since I’ve been doing plays since middle school, but quickly realized being behind the scenes is where I felt most proud and inspired. When I came to visit LA in high school, I immediately felt like this was the place I could bring my dreams to fruition and would travel back to LA when I could to remind myself of that goal then finally made the leap in 2018 after graduating college. I would say my creative journey began in high school from seriously experimenting with acting, clothing and cameras from there, I started creative directing and producing shoots, music videos, etc. I also have my travels to thank for understanding people and wanting to showcase them the best way I can.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not been a smooth road but honestly I never expected it to be, I knew bumps are necessary to help mold me to be a better person and producer. I would say I’m a pretty resilient person but the hardest part for me was dealing with egos. You can work your a** off on a dope project and it won’t even matter once someone’s ego gets in the way of the release or the project itself.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in creative direction and production and I also have a podcast. I love helping visions come to life whether that be concept creation, styling, casting, set design etc. I would say my specialty is concept creation, which can go anywhere from brainstorming and execution to concept revamping. I’m super proud of directing my first music video and producing a web series pilot this year, both were so much fun. I would say what sets me apart would be my work ethic and mindset, I’m a very solution-oriented person. If it’s one thing I’m gonna do is present you with options.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
My production company is called “Teazer Network” and you can check out some of my work my podcast and contact me at www.teazernetwork.com or my Instagram @teazernetwork. My personal page is @holymami if you’d like to support there as well 🙂
