Today we’d like to introduce you to The Elliott Brothers.
The Elliott Brothers, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
There is three brothers, Sean, Derrick and JR. JR transitioned in 2014. We were popular our entire life owing to each individual personalities. Since it was 3, the public community just called us The Elliott Brothers. JR passed away and it was over a thousand people to pay their respects. After the funeral, I talk to my childhood friend Chris Spencer who is major in Hollywood about bringing people together in a more harmonious way then a funeral. We started our comedy journey two months later in Hollywood with sold-out shows that allowed us to work with Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, Chris Spencer, Kym Whitley, etc….. we also had sports figures, athletes, agents, and entertainment managers support our shows. We’ve worked with 100’s of comedians that were from all over the world. My motto is “INGLEWOOD 2 HOLLYWOOD!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like anything else, it wasn’t easy but by us being popular we could always tap a shoulder for assistance or resources. The biggest obstacle was finding a venue to call home. Schedule conflict, the pandemic has caused us to be on hiatus and our home venue has closed their doors.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Apart from the comedy, we have created a clothing brand that will go hand and hand with building our brand. We have created jogger sets, mugs, hats, T-shirts’, etc…. We are most proud of the entertainment industry has accepted us. We are known for being good people who is integral and motivated in bringing people together. The most proud moment is when Kevin Hart did my show with a 1.5 hour stage time. Secondly, we were in the main room at the world-famous comedy store. Our brotherhood and our good reputation set us apart, our shows have been amazing.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
That things change, things happen beyond your control and to keep moving forward.
