Today we’d like to introduce you to Natashia Miyazaki.
Hi Natashia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Over 15 years of experience, I have worked in fashion for many years. I was born in London, I started my fashion career there, working for Ralph Lauren as a visual merchandiser and window dresser, creating amazing displays for the flagship store on bond st. After a few years, I was approached by LA company Guess Jeans and they relocated to Hong Kong. I worked out of their design development department creating ideas and new techniques for the brand. After three amazing years in Asia, I was scouted for a design role at Nasty Gal and relocated again to LA where I spent a couple of years designing until I deceived you to become freelance.
After departing from Nasty Gal, I started gathering clients and working on launching brands into the market. Developing products, branding and art direction behind the scenes.
In the last few years, I have had the pleasure to work with celebrity clients creating outfits for the VMAs, music videos, tours and so much more… more recently, I created the Entire look for LilNasX on the Super Bowl Doritos commercial.
After building a robust business of clients and brands for many years I decided it was time to launch my own self-titled label and design studio / popup retail space in DTLA, est. May 2021…….. And here we are!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Relocating across the globe several times and having to build my network from scratch multiple times over. Establishing connections, networking and finding reliable and skilled vendors and supplier was a challenge, and there were definitely a lot of learning curves along the way, however I thrive off of a challenge and I resiliently persevered and eventually found success along the way.
The fashion industry is very competitive and it’s extremely costly to launch a brand. I think the most difficult or frustrating obstacles is getting visibility. I can create beautiful brands all day long but promoting myself and finding opportunity to get press or recognition are the biggest struggles I face day to day.
Having to wear so many hats in my own business can be a blessing and a curse, I love every minute of it but it’s a hell of a bumpy ride…
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

What matters most to you? Why?
Quality, Style, Sustainability.
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED
TIMELESSLY DESIGNED
LOCALLY MADE.
Reducing the amount of waste when producing our product is a fundamental part of our company ethos. Produced here in L.A. giving us the flexibility and access to create items with a fast turnaround, on demand. This is the future of sustainable fashion.
Paying a living wage to my sewers is extremely important, I want to support and grow together.
So many fashion brands are unaware of the conditions in which their workers are making their products in. I can see where my items are being sewn, I can check the quality and I can work directly with the artisan producing my pieces. It’s a privilege and a pleasure to have my hands on every step of the process and to be able to put a face to an essential part of my business being a success.
Change your perspective, become a believer, support a movement & look spectacular doing it!
