Hidden Gems: Meet Lauren Todd of Zow Organics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Todd.

Hi Lauren, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story began in my grannies garden in South Central. It was a lot of us in the house so it was pretty chaotic. There was always a sense of peace I found near plants and being outdoors. My granny was the medicine woman in the house. She always had a remedy for something. Whenever she would make something up, it would truly pull us through. It was her faith that was guiding her. We would only go to the doctor if it was beyond her hands.

Having my own family is a daily reminder of what my granny instilled in me , especially when it comes to organic living.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Me and plants are easy peasy. The business side is something I am adjusting to. I am working things out logistically for Zow Organics and branding. I want the community to experience luxury healing that truly benefit the mind, body and soul.

One challenge is building a following when there are so many awesome vendors out there selling similar products. I was a bit intimidated at first.

I’ve outgrown that distraction and choose to focus on where God is positioning me and my business. One thing God clarified for me was my business is molded and stamped on his approval. That’s all that matters. I am intentionally creating a vibe of healing and prosperity. This is why Zow Organics is here. To heal beyond our own expectations through nature.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Zow Organics is a wellness company committed to healing the community through Organic Living.

Zow Organics is inspired by plants and family. It’s unlearning some things just to get back to the roots of who we are.

It’s about becoming conscious about things we put into our bodies and our minds. We are extracting healing from the seeds of the earth and it’s so cool.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is waking up every morning with a grateful heart. It’s not about accolades or achievements, sure all those things are cool but that’s not my idea of success.

Success is showing up for yourself and putting your best foot forward every day. Trusting the process that your heart’s desire will come to fruition if you show up and put God first.

I don’t let anyone put labels on me because of what I have or things I’ve done. It’s no big deal if it’s not rooted in humility. God is the root and the source of success.
