Conversations with Jack Venturo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Venturo.

Jack, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was 15, my friend gave me a pair of puppet eyes and my dad bought me a VHS camera. Since then, I have been creating movies, puppets, puppet movies, comedies, dramas, screenplays and more. I have always been a storyteller and the older I get, I find new ways to tell my stories.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road and it continues to be a weird road, full of obstacles and challenges and twists and turns and traffic and more, but I stay on the road because getting off that freeway would just kill everything.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an artist and a filmmaker. When I’m not writing or creating my own content, I work as a Voiceover performer, Editor and a Jim Henson company trained puppeteer. My puppeteering carrier is currently on the front burner as I play Richie Gamblé the spokesperson/puppet of the Tachi Palace Casino in Lemoore and currently on Disney+ “Earth to Ned” I play several CLODS and mostly Ned’s back right hand. No matter what is happening creatively, all four burners are always on and I constantly work every day to make sure all burners stay lit.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Entertainment prevails, we will always need entertainment, singers, artists, filmmakers, puppeteers. The earth is in need of Storytellers. Always and forever.
