Meet Hannah Hueston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Hueston.

Hi Hannah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I moved to Los Angeles about three years ago and I really believe my story didn’t start till then. Everything in my being told me I should be in LA. I came here with every intention of being a commercial dancer and going on tour with a music artist. I put my whole heart and soul into that goal. Sometimes I would train up to 8 hours a day, and I loved every minute of it. Choreographers who took me under their wing, like Brinn Nicole, Cedric Botelho, Amy Morgan, and Mitchell Kelly (just to name a few) inspired me every day to be the best performer I could be will promoting my self-confidence and divine feminine power. I could not imagine my dance career without them. But moving forward on my entertainment journey, I found I had no better feeling than being in front of the camera. I started training more as an “actress who dances” instead of a “dancer who acts”. Surprisingly the pandemic helped my career! I had all this extra time to really focus on myself and my craft. In just a year, I booked more film and acting roles than ever before.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a rollercoaster of a journey.. which is any journey in the entertainment industry. A lot of people want to put you down. A lot of people want to judge you for your body and what you decide to do with it. A lot of people will take advantage of your sweet nature, talents, and trust. I think the road is rocky for any woman looking to be in the spotlight. I have been through body dysmorphia, depression, and overall feelings of not being good enough. I had to get to a place where I don’t listen to these outside voices telling me to be someone only good enough in their light.. but rather tune in to the divine power I have inside of me and believe in myself and know what I have to offer is good enough.. and then some! Now my only obstacle is allowing myself to good off the safe path and take some chances!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is vast. I train in so many things so I can be as bookable as possible for any casting! I am mostly known as a dancer but as I breakthrough and show more of my passion for acting, my support has been so heartwarming. While keeping up my dance and acting training, I also do voice-over work, stunt fighting for film, and singing. I like to keep my toolbox full! Currently, I believe I am mostly known for my creative confidence. I hold myself very high when it comes to my concepts and ideas I create to share on social media. Not that long ago, I was told something that really stuck with me.. (loosely quoted) “you post things that show relatable beauty and confidence that inspires me to be like you.” It makes me feel so wonderful knowing I can still post confident photos and videos that make other girls inspired and not feel inferior. That my content can uplift other women to be who they want to be or who they have been nervous to show the world.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
There are a few people who have stuck by every turn and crossroad I have been on throughout my journey, but there is one that rises above the rest. I give so much credit to my mother. I could not have asked for a more supportive parent. She has inspired me in so many ways to be myself and continue to search for my place in the entertainment world. She was an actress herself and I just had to follow in those footsteps. Even when it was tough for her to be back in Kansas without me, she always knew I belonged in LA. My goal in life is to make it as big as I believe I will so I can give her everything she deserves to have.
