Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Charles.
Fernando, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started off in the Music Industry at the ripe age of 12. I started off as a Music Producer, got bored, and decided 11 years later to be more of a businessman than a creator. In 2006, I started in internships working at indie and major record labels. I became infatuated with music marketing and stayed put in that field of the industry for about ten years till I wanted to help artists and became a music manager (currently where I use my skill at).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not. I have lived around and dealt with the “Darkside” of the music industry. I put 125% and got back 65% of all my hardwork. I have trusted music industry executives and professionals and been the victim of backstabbing and lies. And I have built relationships with people who became envious of my evolution in the business.

My music management company, Marauder Management comes from being consistent and having that “Hustler mentality” I chose the word “Marauder” because it represents taking over something, BUT, for me it’s a positive notion. I want to bring the world the best of the best artists from all genres. I want to work with people who are serious and look to leave legacies. I take the Music business seriously as I take myself serious. My brand is based off of an animal whom roams the jungle. A lion. The representation of a lion has so many definitions, but to me it’s about leadership, conquering our goals, and making a positive presence. Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I have so many music industry friends and they for some reason, don’t know that I am really into being close nit. I don’t really “do business” with them if I consider them friends/family. Also, Marauder Management looks to be into philanthropy in 2021, I have kept quiet about this and want to indeed give back to all communities in the greater Los Angeles area.
