Check Out Nicco Batiste’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicco Batiste.

Hi Nicco, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My career started five years ago at a store called re:fresh. At the time, Wayne and Cody worked there and they asked me to take some pictures for the store. Then I got invited to do a fashion show at gravier social. I prayed and ask God if this is what’s for me, please let me continue and offers kept coming.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, the road has not been smooth. I have had highs and I have had lows. Everything you have seen me be apart of is because of God and myself. I have had a few agencies want to sign me but, I feel as though if I do sign it has to be big like Wilhelmina, Next, or Ford. Contracts play a huge part in your career. As many contracts that you sign that’s as many people that will be in your pockets. I work too hard not to be rewarded for my work. At the moment I can work with whoever I want. I’m always willing to work in the modeling industry. I’ll work with anyone as long as they have a great concept.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
You can say that I am in the entertainment industry. Yes, I do model and that’s what I specialize in. Nobody can see me on the runway, I am the best. I have also been acting here and there and I get good reviews. When it comes to working with others bringing their idea to life, I catch on fast and that’s key. I just see things differently. I’ve even offered my own ideas to a photographer/ videographer and they’ll be shocked like wow never thought of that, that’s a good idea.

What’s next?
In the future, I plan on continuing to work hard. There’s plenty of things that I haven’t done yet that’s on my agenda, like walking in Paris fashion week. I would also like to expand to other areas like commercials or movies. I just moved to LA it’s the biggest change I’ve made so far. I just want to get my hands on anything that’s going to make me the best at what I do. As long as I keep God first, I can’t fail.
