Community Highlights: Meet Gianluca Pizzorno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianluca Pizzorno.

Hi Gianluca, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been in the music business since I was 15 when I started to play bass and since then music has been my life. I’m a music manager and entrepreneur, I started in Italy then moved to London and since 2015 I call LA home. In 2010, I felt I wanted to expand my business so I decided to visit LA and I booked a trip for two weeks in LA without knowing anyone. I was looking for my new goal and a new challenge. After spending a week in Los Angeles, I fell in love with the people and with the city and I started to create new possibilities so I could move here. Ten years later, I have the same feeling for LA probably every day more in love, I reached many goals but I keep creating new ones as I think every goal reached creates the possibility for a new one to start.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The challenge are always there; it’s never easy to make things happen. Difficulties show how much do you really want something. English is not my first language and communication is a big part of my job. In the beginning, it was a big challenge but then either you learn or you give up…I learned and I’m still doing it. 🙂

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My company is music management, production, promotion company. I have a team of multi-platinum selling and awards winning clients and my goal is to create the best opportunities for them and understand their needs. We are a big family, I work with established artists and producers and with upcoming ones and I love both the process of the work. Everyday there is a new goal to reach and a new challenge. My job is not easy to explain but the most difficult thing is that I have to deal with creative people and make sure they are understood in their creativity but also I have to deal with business and money so it’s a very delicate balance to keep. One of the most important thing in my job is keeping the dialogue always open with everyone, every time we can learn something new.
