Meet Hanna Lane of AWG Bakery in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Lane.

Hanna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and autoimmune issues. I decided to put my energy into learning about the healing powers of anti-inflammatory foods and embracing a Paleo lifestyle. I loved bread and knew we had to part ways but it would not be for long! I was determined to create a bread that met all my dietary limitations, something I could not find on the market. After a year of testing, I finally perfected this unique, gluten-free, grain-free, organic, non-GMO, Vegan and Paleo bread. I’m so excited to share my bread that you will actually feel good about eating, has beneficial nutrients and tastes delicious!

Has it been a smooth road?
There was a lot of thinking outside the box! Since we have such a clean product, we knew our packaging would be extremely important to our customers. We spent a lot of time researching our options and was very pleased to find 100% compostable bags and labels, which our customers just love. Also, finding the right way to spread the word about our bread is a learning experience because it is for healthy eaters and people with dietary limitations, not restricted to age or location. We keep trying to reach the people who want to bring bread back into their diet.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with AWG Bakery – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
AWG Bakery makes organic, gluten/grain-free bread that is Vegan & Paleo. Our bread is extremely unique and unlike any other bread on the market. When choosing our ingredients, it was so important for us to have a high standard and choose organic. Our customers have referred to our bread as life-changing and said this is how bread should taste! People that have not eaten bread for years can now eat ours because it checks all of their dietary boxes. When we hear comments like this, it is the reason we started the company. Our website has some amazing reviews. We pride ourselves on being a small family-run start-up business that cares for our customers and their health. Our flavors are Everyday, Rosemary, and CinnaSpice in minis, loaves and our new flatbread product “Rounds”.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I LOVE the hustle and bustle of LA! I’m not one to sit still so I love places that have tons of things to do. The food, museums, beaches…all of it. That being said, I am a very outdoorsy person and do appreciate being outdoors and traveling somewhere like Montana or Hawaii for a trip to reset and get away from everything.
