Meet Denecia Jones of Jadestone Solutions in Southbay

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Denecia Jones.

Denecia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was 17 years old, my dad died of pancreatic cancer, and the Fortune 500 employer health plan that my mom had did not want to pay most of the healthcare bills. As a result, we were forced to file for bankruptcy. While my peers were celebrating their adulthood, I had lost my father and become homeless at the age of 18 years old. That inspired me to open my insurance agency 20 years ago to educate people on which plans were safe and how to use them in the complex healthcare system, so they were proactive and not reactive during uncertain times. Since then, I expanded my services to include coaching individuals and entrepreneurs on the best way to transform their lives and grow their companies. During my work in this area I noticed a surprising number of employees in their 30s and 40s having panic attacks, strokes, and heart attacks at work. Workplace studies show that millions of Americans struggle to separate their personal lives from their career – leading to increased overtime hours at work, a high degree of stress, and decreased productivity.

Helping others enforce clear boundaries in their life is a rewarding investment that allows them to spend more time with their loved ones while they are still being mindful of their professional and personal goals.

Let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jadestone Solutions story. Tell us more about the business.
I opened Jadestone Solutions to help individuals who are dealing with unhappiness, stress, and the inability to communicate their needs with clarity to create solutions that are focused on individual pain points. For more than two decades, I have optimized the success and sustainability of countless individuals, companies and government offices by changing the way they think about their personal lives, work environments and tackle day-to-day challenges.

I aim to respond to the 120,000 deaths and $190 billion in healthcare costs caused each year by work-related stress. As a certified Los Angeles Bar Association mediator, International Coach Federation (ICF) member, and risk management expert, I’ve also advised government officials in creating healthcare laws that impact the lives of millions of Americans each year. I’m a leader who understands and develops approaches that resolve personal and workplace conflict at their roots.

I provide our clients with business consultancy, insurance advisory services, executive and individual life coaching, and organizational training to refocus attention away from the stagnation of a problem and onto the empowerment of finding solutions that produce immediate and lasting results.

Jadestone Solutions is proud to be certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) from the State of California, and other state and federal contracting agencies.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I see the professional coaching arena increasing because it will be needed to ensure more employees and companies have work-life balance in check so they can create more positive flow in their lives as opposed to destructive outcomes at home and at work.
