Meet Farid Hashemi of e-Motion Training in Woodland Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farid Hashemi.

Farid, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Couldn’t find my place in the work world for all of my life. Nothing in corporate America fits me. Financial Advisor, Target manager, even being a personal trainer at equinox. I tried the school route to get a doctorate of physical therapy but then dropped out entirely after going to Poland to learn the Wim Hof Method. This experience and what lead up to it developed me and my organization to be where we are today.

Upon my return, I began to build. Build the concept and philosophy of e-Motion Training. I learned from the best in the world in the realms of movement and stillness. I continue real education and knowledge and share it with my community and clients. The goal is to have optimally performing human being (whatever that is for the given person) so that they can be most productive in life and spread the love and wealth of health.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. 7 + years of formal education that is not used for financial gain. Separation from friends and connections that were not in alignment. Being broke for two years while investing everything I earn in education, knowledge or development. Lots of love had and lost. Travels all over the world in varying conditions. Lots of physical pain, injuries traumas that lead me to understand the body. Emotional release. Psychological development.

e-Motion Training – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Human Optimization is what best describes my organization:

This is an all-encompassing approach to human health, fitness and performance in which the mind, body and soul are trained collectively and strategically using the best methods available to ourselves.

We specialize in breathing techniques and the Wim Hof Method. Pain and injury rehabilitation. Biomechanics of efficient human movement. Fascial training and manipulation (release, balance, coordination, elasticity), bodyweight, movement such as animal movements and handstands, strength and power training, stress management, nutrition counseling.

What I’m really good at is conveying the message of how to use, move, train, gain and listen to your body and mind. I can teach someone how to get out of Sciatic pain in minutes.

What sets me apart is my presence with clients. There is never a “business as usual” type of approach or simply going through the motions with clients. We are in tune always, allowing us to make adjustments in the moment that will bring about immediate change. This approach itself teaches people about bringing the whole picture together. So when a client comes to me with herniated discs and 6k bill from a physical therapist or chiropractor, I am able to “fix” them with 1/4 of the cost and less than half the time, while the client learns for themselves how to heal and use their own body forever.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There are too many to list. The overall picture of how many close clients, friends and family that have been in tears at the awakening within they have experienced takes the cake. I can’t pick one, it’s just what I do, it’s my purpose in the community and for the world. Pride doesn’t get in the way. Joy on the other hand of knowing and feeling the love that I am able to exude and receive from my blessed work that is something that gives me a place in the universe.
