Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Parker.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stacey. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My empathy for many tumultuous life situations stems from overcoming my own personal obstacles.
When I met my ex-husband, we had a fairy-tale romance that others looked at as the “perfect” happy ending. The image was quite different from the reality. I discovered after six years together that he had been unfaithful since before we were even married. Although there was anger from the betrayal, I attempted to work on our marriage to somehow get through his sex/love addiction. In the process, I explored my obstacles in not only this relationship but also in past experiences.
What I thought would be my greatest wound and betrayal ended up becoming my greatest asset. I was able to turn lemons into lemonade and dig deeper to see everything as an opportunity for growth — and I want this for you, too.
The best gift I received through my healing process was having someone reflect my blind spots. There were limitations to my awareness, and once I was able to identify them, I was able to move forward with the real work. Shockingly, that work had nothing to do with my marriage and it had everything to do with me!
Once I found that deep connection to my authentic self without perfectionism, false beliefs, comparisons, and doubts, I immediately shifted into action—the steps toward creating what I wanted externally originated on the inside. Happiness really is an inside job!
If you’re in the middle of transition in any way, know that there are no obstacles too big. You have all of the inner resources inside of you to step into the person you want to be most.
Has it been a smooth road?
Dealing with sex addiction and having someone lying to your face was not fun 🙂 But it gave me so much insight into people’s pain and if I can help the process better for you, I would love that!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m a relationship coach and deal mostly with slowing down and building a relationship with yourself as that’s the most important. I workmen and women. One who just got out of prison and got divorced and wanting to build a better foundation, one who is looking to partner in his business, a woman who was in pageants and physically abused by her boyfriend. Just to give you an idea.
I’d say what sets me apart is my authentic enthusiasm, fierce listening and we’ll also have a bit of fun 🙂
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Well of course, this is such a weird time but feel people could use coaching more than ever before. I do feel people are more open to “coaching” in LA. But the beauty of coaching is that you can work with anyone in the world!
