Meet Asif Babaev of Majestic Vent Covers in Northridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asif Babaev.

Asif, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our company got started in the garage of my in-laws house. My wife and I would walk around passing out business cards, we would drive around to look for construction sites to leave samples, I would talk to stores to see if we can leave flyers, there was nothing that we didn’t try. It was a tedious journey and we weren’t sure if we would ever succeed, but we loved our products and we stood behind them 100%. All we were looking for ways to get our foot in the door- a chance for just a few customers to experience the difference of having a decorative grille instead of a regular one and we knew it would grow from there. Eventually, we accumulated many clients, all of which are still with us till this day!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In the beginning, it was everything but smooth, starting a business from scratch takes an insane amount of dedication and motivation. Having a brand new product that people are not looking for because they don’t know it exists was the biggest hurdle. The internet is full of amazing products and endless choices, but we knew if we stick to being ourselves and showcasing the product for what it is, it would stand out. And it did.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Majestic Vent Covers – what should we know?
We manufacture decorative vent covers from resin. By using our unique casting process we can create 3-dimensional designs with depth instead of your usual flat grilles for a one of a kind look. We can also make our grilles in a variety of colors, but our most popular item is a paintable grille to allow the customer to make it any color they want. Our resin was specifically formulated just for us for HVAC use, the material is heat and moisture resistant so you don’t have to worry about our grilles rusting like metal ones or splintering like wood grilles. It’s also sturdy and strong yet light at the same time. Our product alone sets us apart from others because we’re the original resin grille manufacturer!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
As a company, you’re only as good as your reputation and we absolutely make every effort to keep our clients 100% satisfied, In return, our clients always come back to us and refer us to others. Our clients are just as important as our team here. Our team is our family, we hang out after hours and eat lunch together every day, we always discuss new ways to improve and we strive to stay innovative because there is always room to progress. Lastly, a big credit to the in-laws whom let us use their garage!
