Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinity Brown.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Trinity. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Starting Trindee Spaces was literally an idea one day that I just acted on. I would always casually talk about how I should rent out my apartment because it was so cute! Friends would constantly ask to have photoshoots in my space for content purposes, modeling portfolios and more. One day, I just made a decision to educate myself and go forth and just do it! I got certified in an online course teaching the ins and outs of the business, read many books and spoke with a few friends who work in locations.
From there, I just started with what I had, by renting out my apartment at the time. I was very successful in the first few months, so much so I was able to move out of my space and completely dedicate it to Trindee Spaces.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would say it’s been a smooth road. Simply because what you perceive to be difficult or challenging, will be. Trindee Spaces has allowed me to grow and gain confidence in areas I didn’t realize I needed.
With the lockdown and the pandemic, it shut our business down for a few months. However, it allowed time to recreate, brainstorm and reopen better than before!
Please tell us about Trindee Spaces.
Trindee Spaces is a location rental business. We currently have a swanky, fashion, urban bungalow. It’s perfect for photoshoots, video-shoots and overall filming. It’s important to me that our space celebrates women and our diversity! Whether the woman is the model or the director behind the camera, I’m personally passionate about women creatives and celebrating us.
In starting Trindee Spaces, I wanted the space and the business as a whole to encourage and uplift creators. I wanted the space to inspire creatives to create.
We are excited to expand and plan to open our second location before the year is up.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing at all, every lesson so far and going forward is an opportunity for growth.
