Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurore Sanial.
Aurore, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I guess my story is close to most of the people in LA. I’ve always dream about becoming an artist and coming to live in the USA. When I was younger, I was forcing my friends to create shows (no humans were harm), that was the moment when I was feeling the most alive. I was a kid with a huge imagination who didn’t want to sit behind a desk, and I’m still the same just a little bit older.
Movies and TV-shows always inspired me, the characters and their stories helped me when I needed it and taught me things that school didn’t. After graduating from a two-year diploma specialized in International Trade, I realize that I couldn’t denied myself to try, I wanted to do the same, inspire others, make them feel and dream. I’ve got this confidence from modeling, it helped me to not be scared to finally say it loud, “I wanna be an actress”. I’ve worked hard, and it took times but I’ve find my way to the US. My mom always say “if it needs to happen it will happen”, and I knew I would make it.
As of today, I’ve studied different acting techniques, directing, producing, cinematography and more. I graduated from UCLA in December 2019.
I am actively looking for a manager and an agent to work with me.
I got where I am today because of passion, hard work and a little bit of luck.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely haven’t been a smooth road, as a foreigner it will always be harder for me to make a living in the US. Despite the struggles I still want to be an actress, it’s not easy everyday but that’s what I love. I tend to believe that every struggle can teach a good lessons, that’s my way to not get stuck on the negative side.
Lately, my biggest struggle have been to realize that to do this job, I needed to be ok with uncertainty: No knowing if I’ll have a job, how I’ll pay the rent if I’ll be able to stay in the USA…I know it won’t be easy but I am here to succeed.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a model, an actress, and a live-streamer. I have been modeling since I was 15, my sister sign-me-in a beauty contest, and It help me a lot with my insecurities. I have done multiple project since then and can’t wait to do more. Modeling help me to be more comfortable in front of a camera.
I started live-streaming in 2016, I was telling people about my life, my struggle and my project to come to the USA. They followed my journey from France to the US. I’ve been lucky to get some amazing people to watch me, and I’ll be always grateful for their support.
I was a part of two theater groups before coming to the US. As of now, I have been in projects with Ross Lynch, King Bach, and others. I have done students shorts films with some very talented people.
When I look back at everything I have done, I am proud of the work I’ve accomplished. I’ve been sharing my journey, my growth with my followers. I tried to stay true to myself and be open to them.
I am different than others because of my story, my past, it taught me a lot. I am positive, open-minded and determinate to succeed.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It was the project with Ross Lynch. It’s sound childish written down, but that’s how I felt. It was my first “big” project. I grew up watching Disney, dreaming to be on one of their shows one day. Being in the same room and working with Ross was feeling unreal. That day I realized I was finally where I belong. Being able to help someone to bring their dream to life, to create something, it feels amazing. Also, I met some amazing women that day, other actors. I’ve learned a lot from that day, seeing the way Ross and his brother/cousin were working on set. They were really nice with everyone and we’re working hard. That day was my proudest moment, I was finally able to say that what I work hard for was finally becoming true.
