Today we’d like to introduce you to Jensine Baltazar.
Jensine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a young girl, I have always been fascinated with mystics and the unknown. When I look up the stars…I see a consciousness that we can all relate to. I feel a spark when I carry my favorite crystal in my pocket.
My grandmother passed on certain practices, some may call it religious. But much of these celebrations honor nature and using mother earth’s resources for the better good. Generational matriarch is powerful and I love her for that. Intentionally, I believe in the laws of the universe. I believe there is a divine spirit that connects us in this intricate design. I don’t consider it a religion, but a practice. The practice of kindness, love, and light. I am ultimately grateful that I have an outlet to share knowledge through astrology, nature, and the power of energy.
I created The Alchemy Craft because I am inspired by organic freedom and minimalism in element form. With my love for divination, I am an intuitive tarot reader who works with energy to seek answers. The name and art of “Alchemy” has a big part in that. I create hand made items, letter-stamped jewelry, personally and ethically sourced crystals, hand-poured candles, and ritual made metaphysical goods. I strive to find the most eco-friendly products.
Of course, if you believe in a little magick…then The Alchemy Craft is worth exploring.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Initially, I wanted to start a business that radiated my creativity. I actually began making hand-stamped jewelry. The name “Jensine” is tough to find on a novelty key chain or a small license plate magnet. So I began customizing jewelry to compensate for that. I tied in this little piece of me that needed validation into a craft of healing.
Through some rough times, travel, and spiritual exploration; I merged in my beliefs and passions into one. I believe the biggest struggle is finding your true self and ensuring that aligns with what you are putting out into the universe. I struggled to find that “best self” in me. I finally feel that The Alchemy Craft embraces who I am mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Alchemy Craft – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Alchemy Craft is a small online metaphysical shop. I provide handpicked crystals, tarot readings, hand-poured intention candles, spiritual cleansing tools, and ritual made items. What is so special about it; is that there is always an item that resonates with every individual. You don’t necessary need to believe in spells and potions. But do you believe that good energy comes from good intentions?
My biggest achievement is the power to help others feel a little better during uncertain times. Whether it is providing tools to cleanse their personal space to harnessing a positive energy. The human soul connection is aiding others feel the magick that has been inside of them all along.
I started the online shop more as a hobby because I feel this energy with conviction. Intentionally, I feel like this notion sets you apart from the rest. The practice of energy has no right or wrong practice. It is what makes you feel most comfortable and alive.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment in my career is this interview. To be among all the Los Angeles artisans who curate and craft is a tremendous honor. The Alchemy Craft is rooted from humble beginnings and I say this as I am hand pouring candles on my kitchen counter-top. Since I do not have a brick and mortar shop built, the online recognition keeps me grateful. I express my utmost gratitude to this outlet for giving our community a voice in a sea of corporations.
