Meet Patrick Fiore and Marissa Morales of Blush LA in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Fiore and Marissa Morales.

Patrick and Marissa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We started out by believing “Self Care is Healthcare” in our daily lives. Not in the literal sense but in a way where if you take the time to pamper yourself chances are you’re more motivated to care for yourself in other ways. We wanted a business where you could come, relax, and get pampered. Nails were always something we both took the time out of every month to go a relax and get our nails done together. Nail salon after nail salon we could never come across one that was super warm and welcoming. One day we were both getting a pedicure and weren’t enjoying the service at all and Patrick looked over and said “we should just have our own nail salon.” With Marissa’s background in the beauty industry, we both just jumped into the idea and never looked back. Now we have Blush LA and try our best everyday to create the most warm and welcoming atmosphere a nail salon could offer. Blush LA is a place for people to just come and enjoy themselves for as long as they’d like with complimentary drinks, huge plush pink chairs, and free wifi to unwind from any type of day.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been anything but a smooth ride. In any start up to any business there are the obstacles. Our biggest struggle has been the shut down due to Covid-19 and the re-shut downs. But “smooth sails don’t make a skilled sailor” is what we keep telling ourselves and know there are greater days when this is all over.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Blush LA – what should we know?
Normally most nail salons you go to really don’t go above and beyond for their clients- especially the cleanliness. Blush LA is known for how clean and aesthetically pleasing the whole salon is. We have fresh flowers all over the salon, subtle candles burning all day, techs you can talk about your day to, staff dedicated to cleaning all day, high-quality products that take care of you not harm you, and many many more. Our Pedicures come with fresh rose petals and a free sugar scrub that make our experience just a little extra special. We also offer an array of pedicures that include fresh fruits, natural oils, masks, and more. Blush LA is a nail salon that will remember your name and your dogs name, we try our best to create a family atmosphere, not a rushed “chop shop”.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Both of our families have been our biggest cheerleaders. We are a couple that is running a business together and that comes with its own troubles but we have a strong foundation of family that keeps us grounded. All of our family and friends come on a weekly basis and always keeping us motivated to make this a place they would be proud of.
