Meet Faith Jefferies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Jefferies.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Some know me as FaithyJ from my music, and others may know me as Faith The Lioness from the pro wrestling show WOW – Women Of Wrestling. I started in the entertainment business, as well as training in martial arts when I was four years old. Creating, writing, music, acting, dance and MMA have always been my passions. My goal since I was a little girl has been to aspire to inspire and uplift others through my art.

I attended public school growing up at the same time as balancing going to auditions, filming, dance & acting classes, and going to the recording studio. My parents have always been so supportive of me and I’m forever grateful for them. They’ve raised me with a strong foundation to take on life and attack my dreams.

Right after I graduated high school in early 2017, I was invited to a tryout to be a part of the pro wrestling TV show, WOW. Being in martial arts training throughout my life as well as earning my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I felt it would be a great fit. So I went to the tryout and absolutely fell in love with it! I’ve been wrestling with WOW for about two years now and plan on continuing to our next season! You can stay tuned on more info on the show on their Instagram; @wowsuperheroes. My wrestling Instagram is under @wow_thelioness.

As far as my music, I plan on releasing new music and videos very soon! I’ve been working with Mike Concepcion and our team (Grand Jury Ent.) to make my music come to life. I am so grateful for them, they’re like family to me. So stay tuned @RelaFaithMusic cause it’s comin’!

Long story short, my life has been full of ups and downs. Blood, sweat and tears… hard work and perseverance. But I know it’s all worth it and I plan on continuing to spread love and kick ass!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey has been full of ups and downs. I’ve been 5.8” and more on the curvy side since I was 12 years old. There’s been a lot of rejection in the acting world because of the way I look. But honestly, rejection only makes your skin thicker. The way I see it if something doesn’t work out or you don’t book a role, it just means the universe has something even better prepared for you in store.

Making sacrifices plays a very big part in success. You have to be willing to put the work in and understand that not everyone will understand your lifestyle, so losing friends along the way is a given. But are you really “losing”? If they’re your true friends, they will support you, and vice versa. This is something that I’ve gone through a lot through life. I see life as an elevator. The more you elevate, some people gotta get off on certain floors because they’re not meant to go up with you.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe in luck, but I also believe hard work and the right mindset is a BIG part of that. It may sound cliché, but everything that happens, good or bad, plays a part in our true destiny. I think what makes me the luckiest, if what an amazing family and team I have around me. They help continue to keep me focused and in the right track.
