Meet Joseph Pollack of DJ Neumatic and Omnis Event Company in South Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Pollack.

Starting from humble beginnings in the urban jungles of Los Angeles, Joseph was introduced to the raw power of Hip Hop at a young age when his father gave him his first boom box from where his musical education began. His teachers at the time were DJs Richard Humpty Vision, Power 106’s Baka Boyz, Big Boy, Aquanet Set, DJ Enrie, DJ Ray, DJ Irene, DJ Qbert, and The Beat Junkies. There was nothing the young protégé could not absorb listening to such tracks from legends like Wu Tang Clan, Nas, and Gang Staar.

Like a fish to water, music came naturally. After all, he is the 5th generation of entertainers in his family where he was always exposed to many styles of music growing up refining his ear which eventually led to a promising career in music production, audio engineering, sampling and beat composition. In fact, his talent was so promising that, at the young age of 14, he had his first gig Djing for his family’s local church keeping his audience on the dance floor passionately mixing and spinning some of the best tunes they’ve ever heard. The response was so positive that he even opened up a Hip Hop Lounge for the youth in the congregation paving the road to an adventurous, musical journey.

Since then, not only has he been one of LA’s most popular DJs, but he has also become quite the event promoter and social media manager for a number of gigs. Among his many talents, he’s also done the stage design for the Johnny Sky Concert in 2016 and was the sound engineer and DJ for the annual LATTC Dancing with the Foster Care Stars fundraiser for the last couple of years. His musical range is extensive allowing him to venture from Hip Hop to other genres. There’s nothing Joseph cannot do. If you want the best, DJ Neumatic is above the rest.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been easy getting to where we are now but we never allowed the difficulties determine the outcome for our businesses. Whether it was the setbacks of the lack of resources to the envy of other within the industry that don’t want us to be successful, we just kept going.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with DJ Neumatic | Omnis Event Company – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are definitely proud of the fact that we can provide work for others. Whether it be Wedding Planners, DJ’s, Designers, Photographers and many others in our industry. As a DJ, I look out for other DJ’s and I’m always forwarding gigs and even helping some of them with their branding and teaching them the bit that I know so they can make money as well. I believe that our ethic sets us apart from all the others in Los Angeles.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
As a DJ, I am in the middle of producing new music, mainly Deep House tracks. On Saturdays, I have a residency that allows me to play my own music as well as other producers deep house tracks. It has also open doors for other DJs to join me as well. No big changes for now but definitely looking to DJ bigger events. I have my eyes on a lot of LA Festivals like the LGBT PRIDE events and others.

Any shoutouts?
The one that started both my career as DJ Neumatic and OMNIS events with me was my Wife and Business Partner Michelle Visutsithiwong!
