Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea M Dinh.
Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in Guadalajara as the daughter of a bodybuilding coach and gym owner, it was normal in my childhood to play around in gyms and sit in my daddy’s lap helping him do meal plans. Ironically I was a very chubby, unhealthy nine-year-old who used to swear that she’d NEVER end up in the health industry or be anything like her dad. Well, look at me now…
After a lifetime of curiosity about the human body and how people vary in their metabolisms and struggles with diet, I made it through two years of medical school but could never quite fit into the regular pharmaceutical system, so I switch careers and decided to take everything I learned from all those years to become a dietitian, combining my passion for sports and my desire to help the human body reach its fullest potential, stay healthy, and avoid chronic illness.
Today, I am a sports dietitian and Eating Psychology Coach., helping my clients get in shape, stay healthy, and reach their next level in athletic performance through online coaching programs and one-on-one consultation.
My hubby Chef Ti and I love cooking and creating new recipes together that match the busy lifestyles and demanding taste buds of our clients, which lead us to create as well customized meal prep to help them reach their results without losing their precious training time, washing dishes and prepping meals.
A good amount of hard work, referrals, and a whole lot of grace led me into working with world champions in different arenas like Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, soccer, powerlifting, basketball, and more. I feel so blessed to share their health journey and celebrate with them their accomplishments.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! haha
There is no smooth road for anything that is valuable in life. There is a quote “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor” and I couldn’t agree more with that.
I actually apply to different Medical Schools before getting accepted to one, I even applied to the Navy Medical program, can you believe that! And Once I was finally accepted and study hard for two years, I knew I was called to serve in a different health arena and it hurt!
Then after building my dietitian practice for five plus years and start having my ideal clients, because let’s face it when you start a coaching career usually you start by giving only freebies, I had to restart all over again when I moved to California.
I even had to take a part-time job in a travel agency meanwhile I made a name for myself as a dietitian in one of the world’s most well-known fitness culture spots, by the way, that turned out to be an amazing blessing because there I met my now hubby and Dad of my precious boy.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been amazed by the human body, even as a kid I used to hang out with my dad every time possible to learn about fitness. And from an early age, I start to do research about human physiology.
Ironically I was very chubby and an insecure girl, even at high school l I was the type “she is very funny, friend zone style girl, I think that’s why I can highly empathize with the emotional and unhealthy relationships with food and body perception of my clients and lead me to get certified as an Eating Phycology Coach.
