Meet Gage Tielr

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gage Tielr.

Gage, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Growing up, my childhood had its ups and downs like anyone. My family life was a pretty rough one for the majority of my childhood. I’ve spent a long time perfecting my craft since I was in high school starting with just messing around freestyling with my friends. I moved across the country to Los Angeles like a lot of people do to chase their dreams in the entertainment industry but I feel as if I bring something different to the table. Now I stay in the valley and have been really striving to put my sound in people’s ears as much as possible.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t know if a smooth road exists to be entirely honest, or at least in my book. Growing up, my childhood family life was a pretty rough one overall. Both parents were lower-middle class but did their best to provide for me. I’ve made a lot of connections through my endeavors that were duds and overall provided little benefits to me. I’ve done my best to deal with the cards I was dealt though. Remaining positive is really the only thing I’ve been able to do overtime and I’ve noticed a huge change in both my sound and my attitude since those people have been out of the picture. I’m very positive some amazing things are in store for me and my music in the near future.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
My brand as an artist is to always be grateful but always stay hungry for more. The last thing you want to become is complacent in your business or goals. I’d say I’m known for having a sound that provides diversity between substance and bounce. I’m most proud of the resilience that me and my team has maintained over the years. We’re different from others because we come from a small city that’s not necessarily well known. We’ve broken the mold of using music for a hobby and trying to make it become much more.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The plans for the future are simple. Give people the most quality music I possibly can and working my absolute heart out for people to hear it. Lots of big changes on the back end to create the quality that my followers deserve and are waiting for.
