Teresa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Lifestyle(d) started for two main reasons….to spend as much time as I could with my kids and still do what I love! I had been in the fashion industry for 20+ years working full time, commuting and traveling. When I had my daughter and went back to work after maternity leave (due to my schedule) I was only seeing my daughter for less than an hour before work and after work before she went to bed. That was definitely not how I envisioned being a mom would be. I knew right that it was time for a change.
I have always been super organized, or OCD as my family calls it, and also loved and thrived for fashion. How could I combine those two passions and make a living while doing it? That’s when I decided to start Lifestyle(d), an at-home organization and styling company. Helping clients organize their homes and their lives, one room and outfit at a time in the most ‘stylish fashion’.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, there has been some bumps in the road, diversions and so many learning curves. I had never started a business before and doing it on my own required a lot of research and not being afraid to ask questions to other female business owners. But each of those diversions has made this company that much stronger and in turn created a service people really need.
For example, when I first started the company, I only offered closet organization and wardrobe styling services. However, the more closets I organized the more clients would ask for more rooms to be organized. I realized organization needs aren’t limited to the closet. About a year into business changed my model and started offering full home organization and that is what really took my business to the next level.

Lifestyle(d) is an in home organization and styling company that wants to help simplify your life with organization and thoughtful styling.
Our services include home organization, virtual organization, wardrobe styling and personal shopping. We are focused on editing your home of anything you no longer use or love to give you and your family a space that feels streamlined, organized, uncluttered and stress-free. We work with each client to create systems to not only create organization but also maintain it.
We are best know for creating organization that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing by sourcing products that coordinate with our client’s home decor.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are most excited to get back into our client’s homes after these uncertain times. We’ve all been cooped up in our homes for months probably consuming more than purging. We want to help families edit their homes, post COVID 19 and start fresh for re-entry. We can wait to work together to tackle any editing, organizing, and styling challenges you’ve been struggling with, especially during these hard times.
We’re also working on launching a digital closet makeover program that you can do on your own time at your own pace. Keep an eye out for more details on that to come!
