Starting as a hobby, I began filming and editing around seven years ago. Working for College Weekly and I’m Shmacked, the leading colligate digital content agencies, I was hired to create engaging content for their social. My hobby grew and four years ago, I started a content creation company, Specter Marketing. Throughout the years, we have filmed and edited eighty-two Greek promotional videos, dozens of brand videos and more. With the successful company growth, I now hire, manage, and supervise 12 videographers and editors across the country. I now focus on the creative direction for the company while growing the brand’s identity. In 2018, I took a break from Specter to work with Beautiful Destinations, the number one global travel agency with over 30 million followers across their platforms. I was one six content creators in charge of creating engaging content for tourism boards all across the country. I was fortunate to have one of my photos places on a time square billboard. Not only do I love to add to company’s marketing strategies through content creation, but I also love to create and spread the love the art.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been pretty smooth. The biggest challenge is starting a company on your own because there is no one to turn to when things get rough. You have to be your own biggest cheerleader/motivator.
