Meet Kevin McReynolds of 421 Media in Venice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin McReynolds.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kevin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Washington D.C. and eventually found my way to Los Angeles where I attended UCLA and played football. During my time as a student-athlete and after suffering from a season-ending concussion, I found myself taking my passion for business to the next level by starting The Highlyfe Group where we facilitated concerts all over the country for colleges, universities, clubs, etc. by providing top-level artists and talent.

While continuing to play football and build my companies, I received my Masters in Business Administration from The University of Nevada, Reno and found much success in expanding to travel and other sectors of entertainment and hospitality.

When I moved back to Los Angeles, a mentor of mine Gregg Colvin took over as CEO for a company and brought me into work in business development and facilitated projects and partnerships with several popular music artists and brands. We’ve worked in various capacities with artists including Flo Rida, G Perico, Nghtmre, Rob Stone, 24hrs, Casey Veggies, P-Lo, and Yung Gravy. At 421 Media, artists and businesses are provided with new wave and next-generation content strategies to promote themselves through social media content and memes in the pop-culture, beauty, fashion, travel, and tech sectors.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely! Coming from an entrepreneurial-focused headspace and running/overseeing my own businesses and then transitioning into the corporate world has definitely been a learning curve. I’ve always been extremely passionate about doing everything that I can to move the needle forward and with 421 Media, it’s been so great getting to learn, implement, and teach the best practices for a new wave of content curation and talent.

As far as specific challenges go, I believe that everyone in today’s world has a basic understanding of social media and its strengths and weaknesses. With that being said, we’re working really hard to teach artists and brands the nitty-gritty of how social media really works inside and out and how their pages and content can tremendously maximize their exposure, careers, and businesses. Those tools always including a learning curve and a few obstacles, but it is absolutely worth it in the long term and we enjoy taking the time and implementing the strategies to get out clients to that level.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about 421 Media – what should we know?
