So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles specifically in Jefferson Park. I’ve been making earrings for 5 years but I began to sell them 2 years ago. I’ve always loved unique earrings and really bright bold statement pieces! I walked down Melrose years ago and purchased some wooden earrings that I loved and when I lost them, I was so distraught. I searched online websites and decided I could just order some new ones and then I told myself I can make some earrings.
Then I started making all types of Earrings and people always complimented me And wanted me to make them some. I finally listened to all the compliments and encouragement from friends and I started selling them. I didn’t make any earrings until about three years ago and then J9zfindz was created!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The struggles I dealt with was being focused and really making time to make earrings. I only make 1 paid of them styles I created to create exclusivity. No customer will ever have the same earrings and a customer can walk into any event and really have there own individual style. I’ve been busy with my full-time job at times and it creates an obstacle for me to create earrings sometimes but I’ve definitely worked hard on creating specific times to create earrings.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about J9zfindz – what should we know?
I specialize in handmade wooden earrings. They are all hand-painted by me and I create one of each so every customer has complete exclusivity when they wear my earrings, the thing that separates me from other earring lines is that my bold bright colors and my one of a kind earrings can make any women feel amazing and confident. I work hard at creating new innovative styles of earrings! I’m extremely proud of my earrings because I get to see how my earrings have progressed from the very beginning and to see the technique I use now is amazing. It brings me joy when women wear my earrings and send me pictures and you can see the confidence!

My friends have always pushed and told me to be serious and that my earrings were amazing and that I should stay focused. I’ve had some of my early clients that really pushed me and referred other customers to me. I’ve also had friends that got me into art festivals so I definitely have a team full of people that support me and won’t let me stop!
