Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Carter.
Diana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My daughter Akyra was scouted while attending a beauty pageant in Atlanta, GA. Next thing I knew, we were traveling to LA and she was signed with an agency. We were traveling back and forward to LA which was difficult, so I requested a transfer to a military base here in California. That is how actually my journey started… after hiring a manager and publicist, I realized that we were here to stay therefore, started to self teach myself on areas of Public Relations and Talent Management by reading several books, doing research and networking/collaborating with established personnel in the industry.
And that is how everything started.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth, not at all. I have been blessed with several people, they have helped me understand and learn this business. Every day is a learning experience and there are so many resources out there to help us PR Managers to provide the best services to our clients.
Becoming knowledgeable on what you do is a must to be successful and that has been my biggest challenge as there is so much information out there. Also thinking outside the box as each client is different to maximize their opportunities.

What do I do: I am the CEO & Founder of ARYKA’S & YBOT’S PR Firm, We’ve dedicated our time to understand what works and what doesn’t when it comes to brand acceleration and innovation.

What are you most proud of? Every client that I work with. They give their 150% daily and that is what matters, to keep pushing and keep going. There is no impossible at Arykas… that why our motto is “Making the Impossible: Possible”
Whats sets you apart from others? We are like a big family, that is the way we operated. We are team players and we go above and beyond for our clients. We are a business, however our client’s success is our number one priority. As a Veteran, you learn several skills that have helped me to help my clients in their personal and professional development.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I prefer to use the term bless instead of luck. I think that networking is important to learn the do and don’ts in this business. I think that we meet people daily and we should take advantage to learn as much as we can and to collaborate with others which will bring good things to the company.
