So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Picture this, a year ago I had no idea that Rebel Revamp Marketing Agency would blossom the way it has. I’m often asked the meaning behind the rebellion countless times since launching in 2019. The “rebel” is described as “a person who rises in opposition”, while “revamp” is described as “give new and improved form, structure, or appearance to”.
After moving away from my hometown of Montgomery, Alabama and enhancing my marketing and computer skills, I decided I at that time I needed for my new business venture to resemble my newfound identity, my evolution as a woman, creative, and business owner. Little did I know that my passion and creative skills would turn into a career. As a graduate student of Alabama State University (2017) studying social work with a concentration in mental health was once my driven passion. However, combating depression, anxiety, and experiencing the ultimate “burn out” I knew I had reached my breaking point and needed to venture into something much differently than I had before, but had an underlying passion for business and marketing.
As I climb the ladder, I found marketing is so much more than advertising, traditional marketing, promotions, and advertising. I started off in a marketing course in a new state on a new business venture and now use my own creative skills and ideas for my clients in a creative atmosphere as a web designer and marketing specialist. After completing the necessary steps and taking a leap of faith, I was given the opportunity to start my own marketing agency specializing in marketing. Since then, I have created graphics, web stores finally finished my coding courses. Launched my graphic t-shirt line and assisted business owners in finding solutions for their marketing obstacles.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Honestly, I have learned no entrepreneurial journey is smooth and that is what makes the journey so special. Since being diagnosed with Endometriosis, I have learned and lived the true meaning of “resiliency”. Everyday is a different experience but gives me another reason to not allow my illness to halt my journey and growth as a creative and businesswoman. I have learned so much about people and the business world, that has made me realize so much about the other side that most often don’t highlight aloud. Not everyday as an entrepreneur is simple and untroubled, some things are unforeseen as we see now in today’s society. Honestly, as an entrepreneur there are times I feel defeated or confused, then that’s when I remember why I started this journey in the beginning and that usually motivates me to push forward and embrace those least favorite moments to search and reflect the lesson in them. I am a firm believer that talent will take you so far, but resilience and willingness to learn will take you all the way.

Someone that deserves credit would have to be my younger brother, Xander (Chip). I honestly believe we are twins in another lifetime. He’s my biggest supporter, his energy is unmatched. I share so many of my ideas with him calling and texting all of the time asking for his input. He has gotten pretty use to it and doesn’t complain one bit. When I was facing the toughest moments ever battling endometriosis, anxiety, and depression he never left my side, but even when he had to he made sure that I received all the help that was needed. My brother has made sure that errands were ran and tasks were completed at times when I wasn’t able. He plays a major role in both my success and the success of my business and I’m forever blessed and humble to experience a best-friend and brother in one. Love and loyalty forever for him!
