Meet Kate Levinstein of Kate Wren Clairvoyant Healing in Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Levinstein.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kate. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey actually started as a paramedic. I worked in emergency medicine for 5 years, and it was incredibly disheartening. I learned how badly our health system fails so many who need it, and I didn’t feel that I was living up to my potential. In the midst of working as a medic, I was suddenly hospitalized and diagnosed with a life-long illness, and for the first time I came to the healthcare system from the other side.

I was told I needed surgery, if not many surgeries, and would need to be on some pretty scary drugs, possibly for the rest of my life. But I knew throughout all of this that these were not my answers, that this was not my fate. So, I began searching for anything and everything I thought might possibly help, and found a number of healers and energy practitioners without whom I don’t know what I would’ve done. But the big change came when I decided to take the intro to psychic meditation class at a psychic school. I tried to ignore that it was a psychic school since that wasn’t for me, and never thought I’d take any other classes than the energy healing, but somehow all that shifted. These classes taught me how to create the change for myself, and how to be my own healer. After many classes and 1.5 years of intensive clairvoyant trainings, I couldn’t imagine anything else than using the tools I’d learned to help others do the same.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, starting a business is just a long process. Learning where to focus and when to widen your scope, when to spend money and when to let things progress naturally; when to push harder and when to let go. But I must say, with all that I’ve done over the past year – “good” and “bad” – it was all part of the learning process. I haven’t had anything disastrous happen except maybe a couple events I went to where I didn’t get anyone interested in what I was doing. But again, that was part of learning where I want to be and who I want to reach out to. The most important thing I’ve learned is patience. Building a client base doesn’t happen overnight!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Kate Wren Clairvoyant Healing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I offer clairvoyant readings and energy healings, as well as psychic meditation workshops (and classes coming up in the next year). I don’t use any props for my work – no pendulums, no tarot cards, no crystal ball. Just me and the energy. I like this style of reading and energy healing because there’s no filter between me and the energy of the person I’m working with.

When I read, I’m in meditation seeing colors and pictures and describing what I see. Unlike your stereotypical psychic, I never predict the future or give advice. I believe that takes away the person’s ability to create their own future. I’m more interested in looking at what’s going on underneath things. By looking at the energy in this way, people will make connections they’d never thought of, realize they’ve been feeling a certain way without being able to name it, or just feel the relief of knowing they’re not crazy or alone. I think it’s more important to see the energy a person handles around the future or a certain choice or what stands in the way of something they’re working towards.

The way I work – whether in readings or healings – is always by looking for the person’s own energy, their own truth. To find the spots that need forgiveness and transformation, and help the person create space for that growth. Just saying hello to that can really clear out negativity, judgement and invalidation, and allow the person to see more of their own beauty.

In the end, I think what sets me apart from any other energy worker or psychic is me. Just like with any teacher or practitioner, it’s about finding the right fit, and that’s really the way to get the most out of anything. Finding the person that works for you. I do have to say, people seem to have a lot of fun when they come to me. Usually spiritual practices are very serious, but not for me. I believe that the more amusement and joy we can find during a session, the more of yourself you’ve found. During a reading, healing, or meditation, there will be times when it gets very serious. But if you’re not laughing at least once during a session, well… that just doesn’t happen.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The big thing on the horizon is 4-week intro to psychic meditation class. This is my next big move, and I can’t imagine a better next step. This class is all about learning to work with your own energy, clearing out what you don’t need, and protecting yourself from energies that don’t serve you. Basically, it’s a 4-week class on empowerment through meditation. It’s amazing how much people can transform their lives within such a short time, and with just learning a handful of tools. Eventually, this will lead to more advanced classes as well.

In the meantime, I am creating meditation workshops. Last month I lead one on re-owning your 5 senses in order to create more communication with your spirit, and it was so much fun watching people walk out with a fresh glow and a renewed sense of sight, smell, taste, sound, and touch. At the end of March, I’m leading one called Cultivating Freedom, and in April a Women’s energy workshop. Since everything is energy, there’s literally an unending supply of topics for workshops!

And of course, more readings and energy healings!
