Meet Brigette Shvonne in Huntington Beach OC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brigette Shvonne.

Brigette, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been modeling from age 16-39. I started modeling after an interview at Barbizon modeling school. I did not attend the school but it gave me confidence to start my career. I started seeking out photoshoots and events to model at. I won awards and trophies at group shoots. This was 1997 so social media wasn’t available for networking. My husband and I are raising two young boys and a teenager. I manage my time between my career and my children. I was born in Escondido, C.A. California girl always. I am the middle child of five. I spent my childhood with them riding horses, riding bicycles, hiking , and climbing trees. I was in the 4H club and won awards in poultry and rabbit shows.

I moved to Orange County at age 19 to pursue my modeling career. I am currently enjoying where my career is going. I hope to gain more success. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia so I hope to inspire and raise awareness. Fibromyalgia has not restricted my ability to pursue my career or raise my children.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road but with drive and passion I keep going. I have chronic pain and headaches so I must listen to my body when to rest but sometimes I can’t. I left my mother’s home at age 18 so I had to work retail jobs with modeling. I adopted my daughter at age 24 so I had to juggle motherhood also.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I enjoy all genres of modeling. I have a love for the art. I love recreating and enjoy event modeling such as runway or product modeling. I’m proud I have continued my career for so many years. I feel I have a unique look and I have the experience to help new models. I will be learning photography in May through a mentorship course. I want to start acting and continue to expand my career further .

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love LA because it has so many interesting people that have moved from all over the world. I enjoy sightseeing during photo shoots. Most people that live here say traffic is their least favorite. All of California has this issue.
