Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalissa Cox.
Jalissa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My business basically started by wanting to pay for graduate school I had to find a way to make extra money to pay for tuition without applying for a loan .. one day my friends asked me to bartend there wedding and to make signature cocktail, I received outstanding reviews. I begin to get more bookings for more events by adverting my many crafts of bartendering.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely been challenging, being an Entrepreneur is very humbling and there’s so much investing into yourself. Being a private bartender downtown becomes very stressed because you’re not always busy throughout the year you have downtime and which is very stressful you got a find a way just to stay current.
Juice by Lissa, LLC – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Juice by Lissa is a boutique mobile bartending service created by professional bartender, Jalissa Cox.
Specializing in private events such as weddings, corporate events, private in-home parties, girls’ night, bachelor & bachelorette parties, fun parties, and many more, Juice by Lissa adds a unique flare to your special celebration.
I’m most proud of my business growth throughout the state, I’ve recently become a vendor on the knot which I’m extremely blessed to be able to travel just to bartend weddings such a surreal feeling!
What sets me aside from everybody else my personality my drive from my business is self-made everything I do I do it because I wanna make sure that my guest are taken care of and not just about the money I want my guest to know they’re in good hands and when booking juice by Lissa.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Last year was my 3rd year and I was able to bartend over 50 events. My business was just a thought on paper and I’m so proud of the outcome!
