Meet Jasmine Stafford of Kaye Consults in Remote

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Stafford.

Jasmine, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am Jasmine Kaye Stafford, Founder of Kaye Consults. Kaye Consults is a confabulation of lifestyle blogging, career and finance revamp for the millennial woman! I also specialize in Resume and Cover Letter Revamps and soon to add financial revamps as well. If you know me you know I’m obsessed with all things skincare, travel, coin and most importantly God! I am known amongst my friends as the GO-TO friend. I answer all kinds of questions daily for my girls solely off of personal experience and/ or research and I thought why not combine my experiences and relatable research into a blog that any woman, anywhere can access. I am all about the elevation and promotion of my fellow millennial women. I am 30 years old and I currently live in Clearwater, Florida but only on the weekends. Monday through Friday you can find me at an airport, car dealership, or your local hotel. I am a Software Implementation Consultant which means I travel EVERY SINGLE WEEK across the United States to install and train car dealership personnel on my company’s software. My travels across the US with my job have led me to many states I would not have seen otherwise. I also enjoy international travel as well so far I have been to countries in Asia, Europe, South and Central America and the Caribbean which my job has afforded me to see most of these places for free with the accumulation of points and miles.

Before traveling weekly for work, I lived in Atlanta, GA for 6 years working as a Project Manager for AT&T. That was some of the most fun times of my life! When I say I lived baby I LIVED! Atlanta owes me nothing! I met some amazing lifelong friends and built connections that I will treasure forever. I love Atlanta and everything it added to my life, but the Lord was telling me that my time was up there, so I placed my home on the market on a Monday and by Thursday it was SOLD! If that’s not the sign, I needed IDK what was honey! It was a no brainer to move in September of 2017. I had just started my software consulting job beginning of the year and at that time I was traveling Sunday-Friday, so I was only home on Saturdays to wash my clothes and head back to good old Hartsfield Jackson to do it all over again. I have a super supportive, cool, Jesus filled mom who without hesitation offered for me to stay with her on the weekends when I was in town…RENT FREE all she wanted was to drive my car when I wasn’t home… only a dummy wouldn’t jump at this opportunity!

The selling of my home allowed me to pay off my car and all my credit cards and place a very small dent in my student loans. So as of today, I am living bill free besides car insurance and student loan payments. This has also allowed me the opportunity to become more disciplined which I believe for me is happening with age and create a very strict budget and Debt Snowball Plan which are both Dave Ramsey approved. I went through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University back in 2016 and after a few relapses (lol) I am back on track to living debt-free and creating generational wealth.

Another passion of mine is the resume and cover letter revamping. I cannot tell you how many resumes over the years of my own let alone my friends that I have revamped that resulted from I job opportunities. As an HBCU graduate from THE GREAT Bethune-Cookman University with a BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations and Advertising and an MBA in Marketing, seeing women advancing in the workplace is near and dear to my heart especially in the male-dominated field that I currently work in at car dealerships. So, any insight I can give to help further advancement or development will be given.

I also deep dive into all things skincare while on the road for work. I try to get different facials on the road and keep up my travel routine with frequent trips to Target and multiple deliveries from Amazon. My Instagram followers come to me with all kinds of interesting questions and I share what works for me and if I haven’t personally tried it I’ll research it and put it on a list of things to try because I am committed to weeding out the fads of skincare.

My blog contains a little something for everybody though whether man or woman something can be taken away from the many topics discussed. I am also excited to keep expanding my revamping services and getting people in the door of their dream jobs.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would love to say it’s been all bubble gum and sparkles but it has not! The passing of my father followed by a bad break up pushed me into this passion of mine. Don’t get me wrong it was not overnight. It took me a while to stop feeling sorry for myself, start going to therapy and launching Kaye Consults. One of the first blog posts I wrote is called “Is Therapy For Me?” and it is by far one of the best posts to date. IT details my struggles and how with the help of God, family, friends and therapy I was able to capitalize on my pain and bring myself and others joy!

Please tell us about your work.
I think I wrote too much in the first section lol! Kaye Consults is a confabulation of lifestyle blogging, career and finance revamp for the millennial woman! If you know me you know I’m obsessed with all things skincare, travel, coin and most importantly GOD! I am known amongst my friends as the GO-TO friend. I answer all kinds of questions daily for my girls solely off of personal experience and/ or research and I thought why not combine my experiences and relatable research into a blog that any woman anywhere can access.

I am most proud of the rapid growth of Kaye Consults over the past year and I am proud that I even started it honestly. I thought of starting some sort of consulting service/blog for years and I did it. What sets me apart from other blogs is that I keep it all the way real. I am not into sugar coating, editing, or making my life seem over the top or extravagant. EVERYTHING you see is me!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
It wasn’t my favorite childhood memory at the time but now I am so grateful for it. Going to church every single week with my family! It has given me a solid foundation to lean back on and never steered me wrong.

As I have gotten older I see God moving and working in my life and I can’t help but devote a portion of my day to him. First thing in the morning and right before I drift off to LaLa land I make sure to complete a devotional on my Bible app, read the scriptures associated and say a prayer of thanksgiving.
