Meet Tommy Morgan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tommy Morgan.

Tommy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began tattooing approximately two years ago after spending the four years prior counseling neglected foster youth. I decided to follow my passion in art and tattooing and find a way to help others in the process. I have multiple tattoo fundraisers every year and have been lucky to raise nearly $40,000 for family’s and non-profits in need since I began tattooing. I’m happy to be able to continue to pursue my passion and help others at the same time.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was broke the entire first year of tattooing, most of the time had no idea how I was going to pay my bills. I did a year-long apprenticeship prior and worked at the shop full time with no pay while trying to work hours at my other job. Continues to be up and down and will probably always be.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a tattoo artist in Murrieta, CA. I specialize in blackwork and floral. I’m known for my floral designs and the fundraising I do through tattooing.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far was raising almost $13,000 in one day from a tattoo fundraiser I had in 2018. It was for a toddler who had drowned but was resuscitated and continues to go through recovery.
