Meet Jason Varughese of Pink Cloud in Westside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Varughese.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jason. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up outside of Dallas, TX and moved to the SF Bay Area for college. I primarily stayed in the SF Bay Area until I moved to Los Angeles about five years ago. Prior to Co-Founding Pink Cloud, I spent 60% of my career as a Product Manager and 40% as a Software Engineer.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been smooth. My primary struggle was with alcohol – I had my first blackout the first time I drank when I was 14 years old. Life got more manageable after I got Sober in February of 2015.

Please tell us about Pink Cloud.
Our company puts out an app called Pink Cloud. It lets people search from over 225,000 12 Step meetings worldwide and has lots of tools for managing one’s Sobriety. It’s designed from the ground up to help people with the day to day grind of Sobriety.

Pink Cloud is different than other apps out there because we have the largest number of meetings and meetings for multiple Programs – Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous and Al-Anon. Another thing that we do differently is we prioritize our customers’ security and privacy – we never track, store, or sell customer data. There are no usernames, passwords, or connections to social media – people use Pink Cloud 100% anonymously.

As a company, we’re most proud of being of service to people in 74 countries.

Pricing:

  • Free to install (Apple or Android)
  • The Rooms tab (meetings search) is free for 30 days, then it’s $0.99/month, $4.99/6 months, or $9.99/year.
  • All other tools in the app are free to use forever.
