Meet Eric Jones and Jediah H

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Jones and Jediah H.

Eric and Jediah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started for both of us as children, being entranced by the world of fashion and growing up in the arts. Eric (Ej) was an inspiring woman’s wear designer in Chicago, while Jediah was a contemporary artist in NYC. Both had a moment while in past endeavors, feel their creativity yearned for something more. EJ departed from designing and started cosmetology school where he was introduced to the world of cosmetics. Meanwhile, in NYC Jediah happen to run into a friend who encouraged him to put his artistic hands to a 3D canvas. Immediately falling in love they went full throttle in this new field.

Between the both of them working for companies like MAC, Makeup forever Too faced and NARS they gained experience. Opportunities arose to work in fashion shows Stella McCartney, Victoria Secret, Oscar De La Renta, Vera wang just to name a few. Also, being able to glam celebrities Eva Longoria, Bette Miller and Catherine Zetta Jones. Eagerly wanting to attain more they both packed their bags and relocated to Los Angeles. While working an event they met and set up a day to chit chat and grab a coffee, after that meeting and conversation they instantly became friends. Sharing the same views and goals the pair started working together. Creative directing, styling and photographing all of their work. Their motto “a second set of eyes makes thing Greta” is what makes this duo an unstoppable team. Being in LA a combined four years there work with modeling agencies, award shows and embarking on the wedding community thus team wants to show the world the way they see beauty.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh no the ride definitely hasn’t been smooth! Relocating to a new state alone is difficult, let alone somewhere that has a large amount of makeup artists and photographers. We both have had to take pay cuts, do free work and work long hours. Also, reinvent ourselves the beauty industry has evolved and shifted immensely so staying relevant but true to who we are as an artist is always something we feel will be a factor. We’ve also had to understand how to work together, sharing a creative space with someone isn’t always the easiest but we trust each other and respect each point of view and that’s why it works.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you guys do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
We are a makeup artist and photographer who work with people doing photoshoots, headshots, weddings, music videos, etc. Any aspect of the visual and entertainment field where a makeup artist or photographer is need we provide that service.

We are most proud of seeing agencies, clients and viewers of our work happy and return. We are receiving a lot of referral clients lately which is amazing because that means we hit the mark and accomplished exactly what was needed.

We are a one-stop place for the beauty, entertainment and wedding world. Not only do you get a makeup artist you also get a photographer, creative director, photo retoucher and hairstylist (simple looks). Being able to get everything you need to make that moment you want to capture that much easier, instead of hiring multiple people we are able to give you more than most.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are looking forward to growing and expanding our clientele in LA and being the go-to for any project that requires beauty and photography.
