Photo-Nox, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It was March of 2014 when I teamed up with the TrackMartians. Starting as an intern I quickly moved up within the company to head engineer for TopNotchRecordings-LA (TNR-LA). TNR-LA home of the TrackMartians. Appreciate them for giving me the environment to sonically soar new heights. Staying true to my morals, work ethics, and after major accomplishments, I started a business of my own HBG Services. HBG Services caters to local and industry artists, providing them with the necessary tools to live out there dreams sonically. Going fully mobile/global in 2020.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been just a smooth ride. The only challenge I have faced is not being educated on certain situations. I have now surrounded myself with people who not only challenge me to be great but challenge my ability to gain unlimited knowledge.
Please tell us about HBG Services.
We specialize in Exclusive Studio Booking for local and industry artists. What this means is name your vibe and budget, then we’ll get you in a studio perfectly fit for you. We also offer mobile engineers that can come to you at a very low rate. Our hands-on service entails Audio Engineering, Production, Mixing & Mastering, and Distribution. Outside what was mentioned we also will take care of any odd jobs you don’t have time for. (This is aimed for Artists Management.) Our head Engineer Photo-Nox has a Platinum Recording of BlueFace “Thotianna”, also he is a charting Billboard engineer. Also has credits with Rich The Kidd, Nipsey Hussle, Mozzy, etc. What sets us apart is understanding what the artist needs/wants before they do. Vibes are everything. Bless up. Holla.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see myself setting the trend for going mobile. Everyone is slowly eliminating studios and doing things themselves. Perfect opportunity.
