Meet Nathan Zielke

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Zielke.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in DR Congo and lived there for about four years and moved to the United States after my parents died. I was adopted by my aunt and uncle and from day one, I was drawing on walls and anything I could get my hands on. My parents had the choice to punish me or get me art materials and they chose the art material. The rest was history and art became my passion. Lived in Sacramento, CA and moved out to LA where I applied my art to everything I do from photography, videography, and animation. I am currently a freelance artist and the lead content creator for a brand called Cape Robbin. This is my story in a nutshell.

Please tell us about your art.
I do all and every form of art I can get a hold of. I do fine art, photography, videography, animation, graphic design and fashion designing. I love art and feel most alive when I’m creating. I’ve thought of limiting my self to one field butt I love learning new ways to create so I always end up finding a new craft to master. I hope people see my art and say wow, I never thought of this or wow this is different. Whatever form of art I do, I want to show it in a way people don’t normally see it.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
You can make a living from art. You just have to be as creative in that pursuit of making a living as you are in your art.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
All of my work is on Instagram @nate_zielke_creates for a while now, I’ve been doing art for me but will soon open it back up and put it on my website and let people buy prints.
