Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Rezvani.
Josh, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Political Science and Cinematic Arts. After school, I worked as a Agent Trainee for one of Hollywood’s premier talent agencies. I left my job to pursue what I’ve always wanted to do since I was a kid – professional audio. With help from my father and my uncles, I formed Sonido Live as a full-scale professional audio company. Our goal is to help businesses thrive – whether they are a nightlife business, a rentals business, a fraternity, an event production company or if they are simply a DJ – we want to provide them with headache-free financial solutions and top of the line merchandise so they can grow. When our clients grow, we grow, and when they’re satisfied, we’re satisfied – and the cycle continues.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We’re competing with over 100 companies nationwide. It’s not easy at all.
Yet, it’s important to know your company’s strengths and weaknesses. We have a collection of award-winning and internationally recognized brands: DAS Audio from Spain, Turbosound from the UK, Behringer from Germany, etc. We’re a business based on our client’s success – by working with our clients across borders, we leverage our pro audio collection to achieve extraordinary results.
We’re not like any other pro audio and DJ equipment retailer. We’re different, and that’s what I love about this company.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Sonido Live – what should we know?
We are a premier full-service audio-visual, lighting and staging company in California. We’re known for our unique, international brands, our remarkable customer service which goes beyond to fixing gear and giving discounts. Human nature is everlasting, and there are a few things in life and in business that we enjoy more than seeing one person helping another.
As I mentioned previously, by working with our clients, we leverage our customer service and collection to achieve extraordinary results. These results enrich our client’s experiences with us; our team goes above and beyond to ensure that we’re leaving our clients with a positive memory of Sonido Live. It’s something more than “good service” and this is what I’m most proud of. It does set us apart from our competitors, it definitely sets us apart from the rest.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My father and my team deserves 100% of the credit. Without my father’s advice, I wouldn’t survive one bit in Downtown Los Angeles. He’s been the cheerleader in Sonido Live’s effort to grow itself as America’s one-stop pro audio and DJ equipment shop. However, I take the pleasure of watching my team develop their potential as leaders. Observing Lucio, who heads the audio/visual engineering department, develop himself as a leader, it has been a major role in the success of our company.
I enjoy giving my team credit. I experience tons of opportunity to be recognized. It’s important to put your team first. Allow them to struggle – I’ve found it beneficial to push them to figure out how to get what they need on their own. It lets them take on more responsibility and ultimately gain leadership and management skills in order for them to make informed decisions, guide their colleagues and eventually be qualified for opportunities that come their way.
