Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradley “TRYP” Vonada.
After serving eight years in the United States Navy, Bradley found himself unfulfilled, purposeless and wondering what was next? While experiencing depression, post-military, Bradley relied on venting to himself through sketching and fathoming articles of clothing. He began to follow his heart in designing and creating clothing for society to relate to and come to love. Realizing with all the time that had passed by with his newfound love, the mental prisons, dark thoughts and negative views had disappeared. Bradley discovered his passion for fellow veterans and less fortunate persons in society who have experienced much of the same or worse. It has become his mission to lead by example and uplift the members of the current community with a new way of viewing obstacles and persuading them away from suicidal thoughts and falling in love with depression. Clothing isn’t the end all for Bradley, he’s more interested in witnessing the success stories of those in which he’s had a positive influence on. He lives by his mantra “when life knocks you down, stand up and Adjust Your Crown”.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road leading up to now has in no way shape or form been easy. Once you accomplish a goal, short term or long term, you graduate to the next goal/task. As a brand owner it’s an absolute must to keep yourself inspired, and a circle of friends & family to pour into you so you don’t become comfortable with the thoughts of quitting your mission. In clothing the challenges are prevalent whether it’s keeping a good relationship and schedule with your seamstress/vendor or having “influencers” who are willing to assist you in gaining more exposure across social media platforms. Another big obstacle is being excited to release clothing and not receiving the love and support you thought you would. The ability to see your vision through to the end is crucial to your mind staying aligned with what you envisioned in the very beginning.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TRYP Brand Clothing – what should we know?
With TRYP Brand Clothing, Bradley has created clothing pieces that truly express how a person lives their lives. Whether it’s patriotic colors for the military veteran or the material that a boxer desires to feel while training, Bradley has made all items produced unisex for both men and women alike. Bradley is really known for speaking life into others who feel other than positive about their current circumstances and view of life. When asked what he’s most proud of he usually replies, “we’re just thankful and grateful to wake up and keep inspiring someone who is losing their faith and personal battle”. Bradley believes without any discredit to any other brand, TRYP Brand Clothing carries a mission and a meaning that anyone can relate to and adopt as their own.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I believe before all, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has blessed me with the visionary gifts and impactful speaking. A lot of what I’ve accomplished has been through learning on my own through trial and error. I believe there will always be something you may collectively get better at. My mother and wife to be, deserve a huge piece just for being someone I could talk to and seek good advice and perspective from. I’ve learned that sometimes listening to someone else’s day and how THEY are feeling can definitely help you with your perspective, current feelings, and attitude adjustment.
