Today we’d like to introduce you to Bijan Machen.
Bijan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The purpose of life is to have fun! I started living my dreams once I decided to ignore the doubt and negativity of fearful people and go after what I really wanted. I grew up in a small town Akron, OH where there are not many examples of successful musicians or artists. I went from playing college football at Georgia Tech and working for Microsoft Corporation to becoming a full-time artist, making a great living teaching, painting, and creating music.
I am grateful to have had mentors, teachers, and other inspirational people speak possibility and abundance into my life early on, encouraging me to challenge the status quo and express my true self. Now I am a successful house music producer and DJ with a high-end design company. I am living the life of my dreams and I owe it all to God, my mentors and a strong belief in my own abilities. My life mission is to create things that inspire and make people feel good. This will produce a more uplifted world for all of us. WUTW!
Has it been a smooth road?
Life is full of situations, challenges, and opportunities that help shape us into who we need to become. Every day brings new opportunities for learning and growth. The thoughts we think influence the life decisions we make and I believe in viewing every circumstance as a blessing. We have everything we need to get to the next step of our evolution; we just have to focus very clearly on chief aims and persevere until success manifests. Love people, believe in yourself, and praise the source of abundance that sustains all life.

WUTW is a multidisciplinary design company based on art and inspiration. We create objects and experiences that translate optimism, meaning, and identity in the world.
While we create everything from accessories and furniture to fine artworks on canvas, the vibration of music is at the core of our brand. We identify with music as a universal language that connects all people and we engage the world from that same diversified perspective. Our purpose is to inspire love with the things we create.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity and creativity that is always so alive in Los Angeles. This city has something for everyone. There are opportunities to create any and everything you want here. Moving to LA was the best decision I made both personally and career-wise. I am able to do business and be very social, while still enjoying nature and the beach any time I want. The weather is always perfect and everyone wants to come visit. I love Los Angeles!
