Carly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Glow Boss when I was 19 years old and a student at the College of Charleston. I have always been obsessed with skin care and could never tan naturally! Spray tanning made me feel confident and healthy because I always had a natural glow but was saving my skin at the same time! I was shocked when I discovered the first mobile spray tan service and knew that I had to open my own in Charleston. In my first year, I completed over 300 tans. They are organic, vegan, doctor-formulated and extremely natural looking. People were HOOKED and couldn’t believe how real they looked and how non-sticky or smelly they were. Right away, I knew I was onto something. Girls from all over began reaching out about how they wanted to offer this service to men and women at their college campuses. From there I rebranded the company to Glow Boss. An all-organic, vegan, mobile spray tanning service located on college campuses all across the country. We now have over 50 Glow Bosses at over 20 colleges and five cities!
Has it been a smooth road?
Starting any business is scary and there is so much room for error especially when you have so much responsibility. So far, it has been smooth and there haven’t been any major issues, however, there are definitely many struggles that I face along the way. One thing that can get overwhelming is managing all of my employees and keeping that personal relationship with each and every one. Our team is growing like crazy and a personal relationship with each Glow Boss is extremely important to me and I will never lose that no matter how big our team gets, even if it means having to be on my phone all day!

Glow Boss provides organic, vegan, SAFE spray tans in the comfort of a clients own home. We specialize in giving clients the most natural, safe, spray tan that will make them feel confident, beautiful, and healthy. Our Glow Bosses are trained to make clients feel comfortable and answer any questions they may have about our services. What I am most proud of is that Glow Boss is a team of women lifting other women and men up while also saving their skin. There is no more rewarding feeling than giving someone a boost of confidence in a safe way. As for what sets us apart from others is that although there are several mobile spray tanning companies, Glow Boss Is the only company with several mobile spray tan artists all over the country! You can always find the nearest Glow Boss to you by checking out our website and our locations and I think that is such a fun and convenient aspect of our company. People call us the Uber of spray tans!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles changed the game for Glow Boss! I started this company in South Carolina and moving here was the best thing I could have done for my company! The amount of influential people, brand opportunities, connections in Los Angeles are endless. Every day a new door opens to promote Glow Boss and help us grow in the right direction. I have been fortunate to tan celebrities, influential fashion & lifestyle bloggers, reality stars, and other influential people who have helped grow my brand significantly. Los Angeles is known for all things beauty, so when potential clients from all oversee clients in Los Angeles using our services, it makes them want to try it!
